Half-Time Custodian Facilities Manager
Who are we?
We are a new charter school opening in mid-town Fort Collins in August 2018, serving a diverse population of students in grades 6-10 from across the Northern Colorado region. Employing a hands-on learning curriculum, we will inspire thoughtful and creative problem-solvers who aspire to live with integrity and compassion and have the skills to be positive change-makers in the world. What are we looking for?
Compass is looking for a half-time (20 hours/week) facilities maintenance manager to manage the daily upkeep of our school, to facilitate maintenance projects with students around the school, and to collaborate with staff and students on ways to build an intentional school climate around caring for our space. This position is for a handy person who will enjoy sharing practical maintenance skills with students grades 6-12. We’re looking for that person who shares our value that great learning happens in a safe, well-cared-for, and inspiring environment.

Professional Qualifications & Responsibilities
Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D .
Understand how to work industrial equipment like floor buffers, industrial floor washers, and fix small building problems, like leaky faucets or faulty light switches.
Able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and spend most of your time on your feet
Able to work independently
Collaborates with staff and students in order to regularly showcase student work in the building.
