Bobby Young, M. Ed.

Head of School

With 25 years of experience in education, including leadership roles in the USA, Asia and the Caribbean, I bring a global perspective to my work as an educator. I am deeply dedicated to fostering student engagement through project-based and experiential learning, believing that these approaches prepare students not just for exams, but for life.

I hold an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Colorado State University and have successfully led schools across diverse curricular frameworks, including the International Baccalaureate, Expeditionary Learning, Dual Language and Advanced Placement. My goal is to ensure every student at Compass graduates with a clear plan, a robust portfolio, and a purposeful path toward becoming an impactful, responsible world citizen.

Outside of the classroom, I am a proud husband and father of three. My family and I cherish the opportunity to explore the world together, having visited over 20 countries, which continues to shape my appreciation for diverse perspectives and cultures.
