As part of Wendy’s Career Interviews Series, Andy Boesnecker joined Compass students via Zoom to share his story of becoming a politician. He is endorsed by Jeni Arndt to replace her end of term position in House District 53.
Andy shared what it is like to run in local politics and how an interested citizen can get involved in politics. Students thanked Andrew for getting to see a face behind a politician and demystifying how and why people run for seats. Andrew also shared some great information regarding water rights in Colorado and air quality issues in Fort Collins. He has been a music teacher, musician, and also a church pastor leading a group of progressive "house churches" based on inclusivity. He is now at Semester at Sea.
Thanks for bringing such an interesting series of speakers to Compass students, Wendy!
